Pony Club rallies are held weekly. The first rally for Junior and Senior members is scheduled for Saturday 9th October 2010 at 10am. The rally is scheduled to be un-mounted. The first mounted rally will be on Wednesday 13h October 2010 at 6pm. Adult members have their rallies on Tuesday evenings throughout the year and their first rally will be mounted on Tuesday 12th October. There is a break over Xmas and then rallies continue, again changing back to Saturdays when daylight savings ends.

Members are expected to turn up for rallies on time – ( 10am on Saturdays and 6 pm on Wednesdays) in Pony Club uniform and attend the rally for the full two hours. Exceptions are given to those who have to ride home before dark.

Notices are given at the beginning of each rally - that’s an important reason for being on time!

Inspection follows the notices – Riders, gear and pony are all inspected for “care and cleanliness.” At the end of the season the rider with the most inspection points and runner up are presented with awards at the prize giving. Inspection points will not be given if the rider does not attend the full rally. Each ride (based on certificate level and ability) go out with their instructor for their lesson. The instructor plans the rally to cover items on record cards. When the riders record card is completely signed off the rider can sit their next certificate.

Pony Club is meant to be fun. Parents support and assistance to instructors is vital. Instructors should be notified if you need to leave your ride for any reason and all riders are expected to treat their instructors with respect.

All instruction matters should be discussed with the rally instructor in the first instance and where necessary the head instructor – Pauline Lilo
