The Henderson group of the Riding for the Disabled is one of fifty-two groups throughout New Zealand who provide opportunities for children and adults whose disability limits their quality of life.
We were established in 1976 and operate during school terms 1, 2 & 4 in conjunction with the Henderson Valley Pony Club on Henderson Valley Road.
Riding for the Disabled caters for people of all ages who:
Are physically challenged with cerebral palsy, spina bifida, paraplegia, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, brain injury, stroke or have visual and hearing impairment; or
Our goal is to provide:
Confidence, independence and well being for people with disabilities through therapeutic horse riding and horse care.
